New Horizons for Seniors Program: The call for proposals for the 2025-2026 community-based projects is open until September 17, 2025. Organizations can apply for funding to support projects that help seniors be connected and active members of their communities, with a focus on volunteerism, mentorship, and social inclusion.

New Retirement Savings for Personal Support Workers: The Government of Canada has announced an investment of over $29 million to help personal support workers (PSWs) build retirement savings. A new program, run by Common Wealth Pension Services Inc., will offer incentives to eligible PSWs to open accounts and will match part of their contributions.

Ontario Pilot Program: The Ontario government is launching a new pilot program to let seniors living at home use long-term care resources like social activities, hot meals, and health assessments.
