Horrific Shark Attacks (Australia) - Two Killed Within Seven Days
The sun was shining. A gorgeous day for boating and fishing at or near the holiday island of Rottnest, twenty kilometres off the coast of Perth, Western Australia.
During the morning several spear fisher people were diving in deep water one kilometre off the island's northern coastline.
Suddenly, one of the swimmers was attacked by a huge great white shark. He couldn't be saved. A shocking experience for all concerned.
Last weekend, one week later, a spear fisherman diving from a boat off the coast of northern Queensland was attacked by another shark. He could not be saved.
Australian swimmers have suffered numerous shark attacks in recent years. Both in our Swan River, as well as the Indian Ocean, and other states. Rarely though do two people lose their lives to shark attacks in such a short time frame.
A time for caution in both our oceans and rivers.
That is so sad Ross, thanks for sharing.
Thanks Marilyn. Tragic events. A time to exercise considerable caution.
Scary and tragic indeed 😢
Thanks Paula. Shocking for the victims and their families. I think most people are now being extra cautious. With good reason.
