That is why we built The Gathering Place. We wanted a spot that felt like the front porch, not a shouting match.

Our Story
Hello, and welcome. We’re Bill and Marilyn Gould, and we’re very glad you’re here.
Like many of you, we reached a stage of life where the world felt louder, faster, and less forgiving — especially online. Helpful information was often buried under arguments, negativity, or outright scams.
We noticed something else too: when seniors do try to engage online, they’re often treated as invisible, outdated, or inconvenient.
So we decided to create something different.
Canadian Senior Moment began as a simple idea:
a Canadian space for seniors that is useful, warm, and free from trolls and noise.
