Good morning! We hope you’ve had a wonderful week. As the light stays with us a little longer each evening, there’s a renewed sense of energy in the air. Whether you are busy with woodworking projects or getting ready for the spring thaw, we hope you take a moment to enjoy a quiet cup of tea and some local news.

SECURITY ALERT: The “Bank Courier” Fraud
Seniors in the Barrie, Ontario area have recently been targeted by a bold new “courier-style” scam.
-
The Setup: You receive a phone call from someone claiming to be from your bank’s fraud department. They claim your credit cards are compromised and that a “courier” is on the way to your home to collect them for testing.
-
The Disguise: In several cases, the scammer has arrived wearing an orange reflective safety vest to look like a legitimate worker.
-
The Truth: Your bank will NEVER send a person to your home to collect a physical credit card or ask for your PIN over the phone. If you receive a call like this, hang up and call the number on the back of your card immediately.

CLOSING THOUGHTS
As we look forward to the coming week, remember that the best part of a “Senior Moment” is the chance to share a story with someone who needs to hear it. Whether it’s a memory of a farm in New Brunswick or a “cookie disaster” in the kitchen, your legacy is in the telling.
Warmly,
